Pictures were taken by the guy in charge of the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! group, !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . I broke my camera a year ago and I didn't feel like using the Go Pro. Let's get to the good stuff.
It's cool these guys from Ohio migrated down to Cola to start their company anew, especially when they're only 2 blocks away from my apartment. Getting parts for the Miata should be a breeze.
AutoPro already has several sponsored cars including the STi race car, a trio of FR-S, a Vortech 5.0, and a beautiful Spoon Sports Type One AP2 S2000.
The STi and FR-S have seen autocrosses and track days in the past and will continue to make appearances. Expect at least one to show up on April 27th at the SCCA autocross at the Michelin Proving Grounds.
Just... YES.
Back to the show outside, at you can see, the Camaro group made themselves known by showing up with the highest turnout and taking front-row parking.
They were able to close off an entire street were cars could park freely and just about everything showed up. Who knew the Maxima had a decently-sized following?
I was there rolling out on my bicycle, probably scaring owners as I rode up and down the street as if I might lose control and scratch their car, and wearing my Gamecock SCCA shirt. I met this BRZ owner who creates his own diffusers for the Zn6 chassis, pretty down to earth guy.
Anyway, like I said, all vehicles were free to park and the variety showed up.
Such Euro, the VW owner promised he'd twerk if his wagon won best euro, thank goodness that didn't happen...
There were a lot of stanced cars, not my cup of tea but much respect for driving them despite the inherent issues.
I love the wheels on this one, they'd look great on the Miata if they were 16s or 15s.
I mean the paint and wheel conditions on these rides were show quality-level and they're weekly-driven!
I love the textured wheels on this Z33, luckily it rides on air bags so the slammed stance is only for when it's resting.
RIGHT HAND DRIVE AND JAPANESE FRONT END = JDM AS FUCK
Speaking of JDM, some SR20 for the SR20 rule.
Also riveted fenders done right on the rear of this car, especially with the paint job.
On the topic of 240SX S13 cars...these monsters showed up.
His and hers, respectively, both powered by turbo-charged RB25s.
The black one runs rare JDM AS FUCK box headlights from the Silvia, something you rarely see as everyone goes for the common projector housing. Apparently the boxed ones go for $500 a set in just poor condition! Projectors are only about $300!
This is also my first encounter with the infamous Rocket Bunny 6666 kit, I must say, it looks pretty damn aggressive on this car.
Carbon fiber is too played out, BALSA WOOD FTW! Just kidding, it's a wrap.
Or maybe plasti-dip ice blue is more of your thing?
Maybe something more European like a turbo-E46 M3 widebody?
Mini-trucks? Got you covered.
How about some kimchi for those who think JDM and EDM is too mainstream?
The old-school American crowd was there with trucks and Camaros.
Of course there had to be at least one donk/Dub'd car at a show like this! 26" in the rears!
Have some Z06 goodness to wash out all the taste of imports.
Finally a twin-turbo 370z on TE-37s. Spot the VW Thing in the background!
Major thanks to this guy, Nick, who runs !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , for putting on an awesome show! Everyone behaved well, the cops were happy, and it was a great time for all!
